About the role

Job summary

The Project Manager (Mechanical) is responsible for overseeing the execution of mechanical projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This role involves managing the project team, developing execution plans, and coordinating with subcontractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a senior mechanical/project engineer.
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager is required.
  • Experience in mechanical construction projects in sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Semi-conductor, or Oil & Gas is essential.
  • Preferably holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
  • Professional Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP or IPMAD) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Health and Safety matters on the project.
  • Plan all aspects of the project from initiation to closeout.
  • Oversee the site management team, including Construction Managers and Engineers.
  • Develop constructability reports and project schedules.
  • Establish subcontractor work scope execution plans and manage costs and quality.
  • Generate progress reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Attend internal and client meetings to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Allocate resources to ensure compliance with safety and technical specifications.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Strong project management and planning skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Decisive and able to make informed decisions.

Education

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or equivalent preferred.

Tools

  • Proficient in Navis Works or equivalent software.
