Procurement Manager

Job summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for executing procurement strategies, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with procurement governance. This role involves coordinating procurement activities with project schedules and engineering requirements, as well as managing vendor relationships and performance issues.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in procurement or subcontract management, particularly in rail, infrastructure, IT/OT, telecoms, electrical, or construction sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier evaluation and contract formation.
• Ability to translate technical needs into procurement obligations.
• Resilience under pressure during urgent sourcing and negotiations.
• Commitment to ethical procurement practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, bidder lists, RFQ/RFP packages, and negotiation plans.
• Ensure procurement packages meet technical requirements and compliance standards.
• Coordinate procurement timelines with engineering and project schedules.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and commercial clarifications.
• Support supplier claims and performance escalations with appropriate documentation.
• Uphold the company's Code of Conduct in procurement decisions.

• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including supply chain and engineering teams.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in procurement or related fields.
