Job summary

The Procurement Associate plays a crucial role in supporting efficient procurement services within the Office of Procurement, ensuring compliance with UNDP policies and client expectations. This position involves collaboration with various teams to facilitate procurement processes and logistics coordination.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must hold a relevant contract type as defined in the job posting (Tier 0, 1, or 2).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of procurement activities in line with UNDP regulations and internal controls.
  • Support Country Offices in developing procurement plans and organizing procurement processes, including RFQs, ITBs, and RFPs.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to the receipt and evaluation of bids and proposals.
  • Liaise with buyers and suppliers to gather necessary documentation and ensure system updates.
  • Prepare purchase orders and contracts, maintaining accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Generate procurement reports and maintain relevant records and trackers.
  • Document workflows and support the transition of operational procurement activities.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement processes and logistics coordination.

Education

  • Relevant educational background in procurement, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with procurement management systems, such as Quantum, is advantageous.
