Job summary

This position is for a two-year postdoctoral researcher focused on neuromorphic computing and neural interface technologies, specifically for brain-computer interfaces, neuro-prosthetics, and neurological monitoring. The role involves developing algorithms for real-time processing of brain signals using energy-efficient hardware.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Electronic Engineering, completed within the last 6 years.
  • Expertise in neuromorphic computing and neural signal processing, with experience in Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) and State Space Models (SSMs).
  • Strong knowledge of digital IC and VLSI system design, including Verilog/VHDL and circuit simulation tools.
  • Experience with hardware-software co-design, FPGA implementation, or edge AI deployment is advantageous.
  • Proven research track record with peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project partners to extract requirements and specifications.
  • Develop algorithms for neural signal processing based on SNNs and SSMs.
  • Participate in the design cycle of a CMOS-based digital neuromorphic processor.
  • Contribute to the design of a test setup for prototype validation.
  • Document design specifications, trade-offs, and measurement results.

Skills

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in hardware description languages and EDA tools.

Education

  • PhD in Electronic Engineering or a related field.

Tools
