About the role

Job summary

The Planning & Procurement Specialist will ensure supply reliability and material availability by managing demand/supply plans, purchase orders, and supplier coordination for a defined product portfolio in a low-volume, high-mix environment. This role involves close collaboration with various internal teams and external suppliers to optimize inventory management and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in Supply Chain/Operations, Engineering, or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in supply planning and operational procurement in low-volume, high-mix contexts; familiarity with EMS/CM is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and planning parameters.
  • Proficient in MRP/ERP concepts and Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of outcomes, and adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop feasible supply plans based on demand and backlog, utilizing MPS/MRP systems.
  • Create and manage purchase orders with EMS/CMs and component suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate daily with suppliers to address delivery issues, shortages, and constraints.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze lead times, minimum order quantities, and inventory patterns to identify operational risks.
  • Monitor inventory health and adjust buffers to balance service levels and working capital.
  • Maintain accurate ERP master data and order books.
  • Provide data-driven insights on risks and trade-offs to stakeholders.
