Job summary

The Planning Manager is responsible for supporting cross-project coordination, milestone synchronization, and acceptance preparation. This role involves developing and maintaining integrated schedules, conducting critical path analysis, and providing support for acceptance planning.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in complex infrastructure planning.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud and critical-path methodology.
  • Experience with railway access constraints, engineering/procurement integration, and commissioning planning.
  • Strong communication skills to convey schedule risks to technical teams and executives.
  • Resilience under pressure during schedule recovery and claims analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule, critical path, and milestone logic.
  • Collect progress from work packages and suppliers, challenge forecasts, and convert slippage into recovery options.
  • Integrate customer review periods, site access windows, and procurement lead times into the schedule.
  • Provide schedule impact analysis for variations, claims, and design changes.
  • Report on float consumption, critical risks, and recovery-plan effectiveness to governance forums.
  • Own and update the integrated schedule within approved logic.
  • Drive re-planning and propose mitigation strategies.

Skills

  • Analytical rigor and persistence in challenging situations.
  • Strong interface with risk and change processes.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in project management or related field.

Tools

  • Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud.
