Job summary

A PhD candidate is sought to advance food inspection through AI and digital technologies at a leading technical university. The role involves field data collection, application of AI models, and statistical analysis, contributing to the modernization of food monitoring and control systems.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (120 ECTS) in food engineering, food science, veterinary science, epidemiology, biotechnology, biology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English; Danish language skills are advantageous.
  • Background in engineering or veterinary education with experience in large language modeling for AI applications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct studies on computer vision and auditory systems related to farm and abattoir data.
  • Analyze barriers and effects of AI model implementation in food monitoring.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications and conferences.
  • Contribute to the development of national and European surveillance reporting on zoonoses and antimicrobial resistance.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with national food surveillance data is a plus.

Education

  • A two-year master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with AI modeling, statistical analysis software, and data management tools.
