People & Project Manager (Defence Software, On-site)

Job summary

Lead and inspire high-performance teams in the development of AI-powered defence software. This role involves overseeing project delivery and people management, ensuring the successful execution of software projects that have real-world impact for military forces.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related IT field.
• Proven experience in delivering complex agile software projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including developers and data scientists.
• Structured, delivery-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve results.
• Background in AI, machine learning, or data science is advantageous.
• Project management certifications such as PMI/PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA C/D are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead two product development teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery and team performance.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budget, risks, stakeholder alignment, KPIs, and reporting.
• Drive the development of an Agentic AI product stream within the software platform.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members as the program expands.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture rooted in systematic values.
• Plan, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
