Partnership Advisor

Job summary

The role focuses on enhancing humanitarian impact through strategic partnerships and resource mobilization within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The Partnership Advisor will lead the Danish Red Cross' engagement with Movement partners, fostering long-term collaborations and identifying new partnership opportunities.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic background with 5–7 years of experience in humanitarian or development organizations.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate organizational priorities into actionable programs.
• Experience with donor engagement and understanding of funding modalities.
• Proven track record in program development, proposal design, and donor reporting.
• Ability to develop long-term strategic partnerships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience with complex multi-partner programs or consortia.
• Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the resource mobilization strategy with Partner National Societies.
• Identify and nurture strategic partnerships based on shared priorities.
• Develop new partnership models for joint fundraising and collaborative programming.
• Position Danish Red Cross within relevant Movement forums.
• Engage with institutional donors and private foundations to diversify funding.
• Advise country offices on collaboration with Partner National Societies.
• Coordinate proposal development and ensure quality.
• Support negotiation of partnership and grant agreements.
• Maintain oversight of the Movement partnership portfolio.
• Provide surge support during emergencies and funding opportunities.
