OT Security Architect (Energy, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the development of operational technology (OT) security architecture across various sites and projects, acting as a Technical Authority to ensure secure and compliant solutions. The position requires a strong focus on architecture governance, technical leadership, and capability building in OT security.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in OT cybersecurity and security architecture, preferably in energy or industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 62443 and related frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2).
• Proven ability to make architectural decisions balancing risk and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the OT security architecture baseline based on IEC 62443.
• Own the design and lifecycle of OT security controls across projects.
• Establish security standards and enforce compliance across teams.
• Guide engineering teams on secure design and implementation practices.
• Lead design reviews and risk assessments for OT security architectures.

Skills

• Strong communication skills to explain complex security concepts.
• Proven mentoring and coaching abilities to enhance team capabilities.
• Experience in embedding security into engineering workflows and operational models.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity or related fields.

Tools

• Familiarity with security frameworks and tools related to OT environments.
