Oracle DBA (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves providing expert database administration and technical consulting support for complex Oracle database environments in a fully remote setting. The position requires significant ownership of database upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, and engineered systems.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of professional experience as an Oracle DBA, with hands-on expertise in Oracle versions 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Oracle Engineered Systems, particularly Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) and Exadata.
• Proven experience in upgrading databases to Oracle 19c and conducting database platform migrations.
• Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture and advanced performance tuning capabilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of RMAN for backup and recovery processes.
• Familiarity with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, partitioning, and compression technologies.
• System administrator-level knowledge of at least two operating systems such as Linux/OEL, Solaris, AIX, or HP-UX.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, along with strong technical documentation abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
