Operations Specialist (Logistics, Remote)

Job summary

This position is a 6-month maternity cover role focused on operating cargo drones within a European network, with potential for permanent employment. The role involves hands-on flying of drones for logistics purposes, supporting maintenance, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
• Valid EU remote pilot certification (A1/A3 and A2; STS-01 / STS-02 competencies preferred).
• Hands-on experience operating multirotor and/or VTOL or fixed-wing UAS; BVLOS experience is a plus.
• Fluent in business English, both written and spoken.
• Available for the full duration of the assignment (1 July – 31 December 2026).

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures as per the operations manual.
• Operate drones in compliance with operational authorizations and applicable EU and national regulations.
• Maintain maintenance schedules and airworthiness records for the drone fleet.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting on drones and ground support equipment.
• Keep accurate flight logs, maintenance logs, and incident reports under the Safety Management System.
• Support the ramp-up of new operation sites, including site assessment and SORA documentation.
