Operation Controller (Renewables, Offshore, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing safe electrical operations for an offshore wind farm from a local control room, ensuring compliance with safety standards and effective coordination with various teams.

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of HSEQ and knowledge of BEK 1608, EN 50110, and electrical safety standards.
• Vocational training in electrical engineering, SCADA engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in control room operations, electrical operations, or HV asset management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to the Zero Incident Policy and occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Monitor and supervise substations and HV systems from the control room.
• Plan and execute switching operations on HV/LV systems according to safety regulations.
• Operate SCADA systems for monitoring alarms and system status.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of wind turbines and substations while ensuring safety.
• Maintain operational logs, documentation, and reports.
• Coordinate marine operations and manage operational handovers.
• Assist in RAMS reviews and emergency response with a focus on safety and readiness.

Skills

• Proficient in HV switching and operational control of substations.
• Knowledgeable in protection systems, SCADA, communication, and automation.
• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good IT skills and strong proficiency in English.

Education

• Vocational training in a relevant technical field.
