Operation Controller

Job summary

The role involves overseeing safe electrical operations for an offshore wind farm from the local control room. Responsibilities include planning, SCADA monitoring, and ensuring compliance with safety standards during both operational and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Strong awareness of HSEQ and knowledge of BEK 1608, EN 50110, and electrical safety standards.
• Vocational training in electrical engineering, SCADA engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience in control room operations, electrical operations, or HV asset management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to the Zero Incident Policy and environmental standards.
• Monitor and supervise substations and HV systems.
• Plan and execute switching operations on HV/LV systems.
• Operate SCADA systems for monitoring and alarms.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance of wind turbines and substations.
• Maintain operational logs and documentation.
• Coordinate marine operations and manage handovers to the Central Control Room.
• Support RAMS reviews and emergency response with a focus on safety.

Skills

• Proficient in HV switching and operational control of substations.
• Knowledgeable in protection systems, SCADA, and network operations.
• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Good IT proficiency and strong English language skills.

Education

• Vocational training in a relevant technical field.
