Middleware Engineer

Job summary

We are looking for a Middleware Engineer with expertise in Ceph, OpenStack, and Linux Systems Administration to enhance our Infrastructure Team. This role involves operating, improving, and scaling critical infrastructure services across storage, cloud infrastructure, and operating systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with OpenStack in an operational or engineering role, including integration with storage and networking.
• Expertise in Ceph storage administration, covering cluster operations, health monitoring, and performance tuning in production settings.
• Strong Linux systems administration skills, managing production Linux environments at scale.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code tools for operational workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of Linux and host networking, with effective troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support OpenStack infrastructure, ensuring stable integration with storage services.
• Administer and optimize Ceph storage clusters, managing health, capacity, and performance.
• Conduct comprehensive Linux systems administration, including provisioning and troubleshooting.
• Automate workflows using scripting languages and tools like Ansible for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing improvements.

Skills

• Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack is a plus.
• Understanding of network infrastructure configuration, including switches and routers.
• Knowledge of security best practices in enterprise environments.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Exposure to public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.

Education

• A sufficient knowledge of English for professional communication is required.
