Job summary

The role involves translating customer demand into actionable buying and planning decisions within a global merchandising team. The Merchandising Planner will ensure product availability and optimize assortments through accurate forecasting and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Merchandising, Retail, Fashion, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning, Buying, Merchandising Planning, Allocation, or a related area.
  • Experience in retail, fashion, lifestyle, or consumer-focused industries.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies and demand planning principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with planning systems such as APTEAN or o9 is advantageous.
  • Professional fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate SKU-level sell-out forecasts in units and value.
  • Execute buying strategies for assigned collections or key markets.
  • Monitor demand trends and update forecasts to support supply and production planning.
  • Apply forecasting models and analytical insights to improve forecast accuracy and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Plan and forecast volumes for new product launches in partnership with Merchandising teams.
  • Manage product exits and inventory optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global and local merchandising teams to maximize commercial performance.
  • Contribute to assortment and range planning initiatives and support handover processes to Inventory & Allocation teams.
  • Participate in business reviews and forecasting discussions with key stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Tools

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite; experience with planning systems such as APTEAN or o9 is a plus.
