Mechanical Project Engineer

Job summary

This is a permanent position focused on delivering innovative engineering projects over the next five years. The role involves working within a dynamic, multi-functional team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Over 4 years of project engineering experience with a mechanical contractor.
• Proven track record in delivering small to medium mechanical projects in sectors such as commercial, industrial, pharmaceuticals, and data centers.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical design with onsite installation and ensure successful commissioning.
• Compile design documents and drawings, and attend project handover meetings.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and prepare coordinated drawings.
• Produce weekly progress reports and assist in technical submittals.
• Manage requisitions and purchase orders, and verify equipment and materials on site.
• Liaise with design teams and contractors on technical and commercial issues.
• Conduct quality control inspections and manage subcontractor work.
