Mechanical Development Specialist (Engineering, Østbirk)

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the development of mechanical systems for roof window solutions, focusing on opening modules that ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field; vocational education as a Precision Toolmaker is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.
• Understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Background in engineering or product development environments, preferably in a system engineering setup.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive and solution-oriented work approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and document mechanical solutions, including calculations and simulations.
• Create and maintain technical drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including DFMEA and verification activities.
• Update designs based on engineering changes and feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and relevant regulations.
• Contribute to improving design tools and workflows, including potential AI applications.
• Maintain proper version control and consistency in documentation.
