Job summary

This is a permanent position for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer involved in a large, technically complex data centre project in Denmark. The role focuses on supporting the delivery of mechanical commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with project and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, CHW, LTHW, ventilation, and pressurisation.
  • Experience in mechanical commissioning, with a preference for candidates with data centre experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Quality, Compliance & Risk

  • Review IFC drawings, specifications, and mechanical submittals.
  • Develop and implement the commissioning plan.
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with package engineers, planners, and vendors.
  • Prepare and review commissioning checklists, scripts, and test packs.
  • Witness and verify commissioning and functional testing activities.
  • Update commissioning trackers, logs, and progress reports.
  • Identify snags and support handover readiness.
  • Assist with the preparation of O&M documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure testing activities follow approved procedures and verify compliance with specifications.
  • Identify issues early and escalate risks to the commissioning lead.
  • Assist with inspections, audits, and client sign-off processes.

Education

  • Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in mechanical commissioning.

Tools

  • Familiarity with commissioning tools and software for tracking and reporting.
