Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing computational mathematics problems that reflect real research workflows and require Python programming for solutions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied mathematics, research, or teaching.
  • Experience with numerical methods and symbolic computation.
  • Ability to create problems that reflect real mathematical research workflows.
  • Understanding of computational complexity theory.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on level and contribution pace, with variations based on project scope and complexity.

  • Design original computational mathematics problems.
  • Create Python-based solutions using libraries like Numpy and SciPy.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and require non-trivial reasoning.
  • Develop problems based on real research challenges.
  • Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements clearly.
