Job summary

This role involves creating challenging mathematical problems to enhance reasoning capabilities in advanced AI models. The position is fully remote and requires a commitment of 20 hours per week on a contract basis for a duration of 2 months, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
• Significant research or industry experience in mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics

Responsibilities

• Design advanced mathematical problems for AI training and evaluation
• Create deterministic problems with a single correct answer
• Write complete, verified solutions and document the reasoning process
• Develop problems that assess deep mathematical reasoning
• Utilize Python or specialized tools for computational workflows as needed
• Ensure all outputs are precise, reproducible, and well-written in English

Skills

Nice to have

• Proficient in Python and familiar with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, etc.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational techniques
• Ability to create original, complex problems that reflect real mathematical workflows
• Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills in English
• Experience with symbolic math systems, theorem provers, or optimization solvers
• Background in designing olympiad-level, graduate-level, or research-level problems
• Experience in evaluating model reasoning or technical assessment design
