About the role

Job summary

The Individual Consultant will assist the Logistics Management Services Team in daily global logistics operations, focusing on freight management, inventory oversight, customer order fulfillment, shipment tracking, and logistics documentation. The role aims to ensure the timely and compliant delivery of reproductive health commodities and humanitarian supplies while maintaining accurate logistics records and supporting operational reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of logistics operations for programme supplies and humanitarian goods.
  • Provide guidance on logistics, inventory, and shipment management processes.
  • Process customer orders and monitor logistics transactions from receipt to delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support transportation planning.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics standards and UNFPA policies.

Skills

  • Proficiency in logistics management and supply chain processes.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems for logistics operations.

Education

  • Relevant degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
