Job summary

This role focuses on Location Planning within the retail and leisure sector, specifically for a global portfolio of Discovery Centres. The Location Planning Manager will drive network strategy through analysis and spatial insights to inform growth opportunities and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Retail, FMCG, CPG, or consulting environments.
  • Strong understanding of Location Planning techniques and tools.
  • Proficient in GIS and spatial analytical techniques.
  • Familiarity with financial metrics and market dynamics.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Relevant degree in Geography, Economics, Statistics, or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data-driven network blueprints for Discovery Centres.
  • Provide portfolio recommendations aligned with business goals.
  • Utilize GIS platforms and data visualization tools for analysis.
  • Present actionable insights clearly and engagingly.
  • Collaborate with global teams to support expansion efforts.
  • Travel up to 20% as required.

Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with spatial and BI tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, Alteryx, and Tableau.
  • Coding skills in SQL or Python are a plus.

Education

  • A university degree in a relevant field is required.
