Job summary

A Legal Engineer is sought to join a Product team in Copenhagen, focusing on integrating legal expertise with AI technology to enhance legal workflows. This role involves evaluating AI-generated legal work and developing scalable solutions to real legal challenges.

Qualifications

• Advanced legal education or professional qualification with a strong foundation in UK law.
• A few years of hands-on legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or similar environment.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills, capable of working independently with complex legal issues.
• Excellent analytical and critical-thinking abilities to assess legal work quality and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assess and enhance the quality of legal AI outputs, providing actionable feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Transform legal tasks into AI-driven workflows by analyzing lawyer practices and defining successful outcomes.
• Contribute UK legal knowledge to product development and assist in resolving complex customer issues.
• Create workflows that help lawyers leverage AI effectively, identifying recurring needs for future product enhancements.

Skills

• Experience with AI tools for legal tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with evaluating AI outputs and structured legal workflows is a plus.
• Experience in client interaction and translating legal needs into practical solutions is beneficial.
• Basic technical skills, such as data literacy or scripting, are a plus.

Education

• Advanced legal education or professional qualification in law.

Tools

• Familiarity with legal research tools and AI applications in legal contexts is preferred.
