Legal Counsel (On-site, London or Copenhagen)

Job summary

An experienced lawyer is sought to join a legal team, providing support and advice to the Global Open Banking and Developer Experience team, focusing on the development of open banking products and solutions in Europe and internationally.

Qualifications

• Qualified Lawyer with a strong academic background.
• Experience in commercial contracting, technology, and/or financial regulation.
• Familiarity with new product development is a strong asset.
• Ability to identify regulatory, data privacy, and intellectual property issues.
• Strong drafting, writing, oral communication, and negotiating skills.
• Customer-focused with a willingness to learn and build relationships with internal clients.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Handle and advise on disputes with third-party suppliers and clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate with specialists for strategic legal advice.
• Instruct and manage external legal advisors within policy and budget constraints.

Education

• Juris Doctor or equivalent legal qualification.

Tools

• Familiarity with legal management software and tools is preferred.
