LCL Operations Agent

Job summary

The LCL Operations Agent is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of export and import shipments, ensuring operational excellence and high service levels throughout the shipment lifecycle. This role involves coordinating various activities, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and managing financial aspects related to shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations.
• Understanding of international transportation, import/export processes, and shipping documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with operational and financial data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage LCL export and import shipments according to operational procedures and customer requirements.
• Coordinate booking execution, documentation, cargo movements, and customs-related activities.
• Ensure compliance with operational processes, SOPs, and KPIs.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve delays or discrepancies proactively.
• Maintain accurate updates in operational systems and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Skills

• Experience with LCL freight operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with CargoWise (CW1) is a plus.
• Knowledge of customs procedures, trade compliance, and international logistics processes.
• Experience with financial controls and cost management.

Education

• Relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management is required.

Tools

• Proficiency in CargoWise and other operational systems.
