Job summary

The Key Account Manager is tasked with managing and nurturing strategic customer relationships within the Food & Beverage sector, focusing on driving profitable sales growth through effective commercial management and collaboration. This role serves as the main commercial point of contact for key customers, aiming to identify growth opportunities and contribute to the transformation of the packaging portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Account Management or B2B sales
  • Essential background in the Food & Beverage industry
  • Preferred experience in rigid plastics or packaging; candidates from related technical fields may be considered
  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the region

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, ensuring a high-quality customer experience
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve sales targets and sustainable profitability
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities within the existing customer base, contributing to portfolio expansion
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales Leadership, R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to meet customer needs
  • Contribute to the transition towards sustainable packaging solutions in line with regulations and customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account plans in accordance with internal processes

Skills

  • Proven commercial and negotiation skills with a successful sales track record
  • Technical understanding of rigid plastics and manufacturing processes; strong commercial profiles may be considered
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of sustainability and circular economy principles is beneficial
  • Experience in injection moulding is a plus

Education

  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred
