IT Specialist – Infrastructure and Cyber Security

Job summary

The role involves supporting and enhancing IT services, focusing on infrastructure and cyber security within a global context. The IT Specialist will work on improving remote support infrastructure and assist with cyber security initiatives while collaborating with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and remote access solutions.
• Basic understanding of cyber security principles and a desire to learn more.
• Relevant education, training, certifications, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT services, including patching, updates, and operational support.
• Set up and maintain remote access platforms and customer connections.
• Enhance remote support infrastructure for availability, usability, and security.
• Support monitoring and logging capabilities, including troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with secure configuration and infrastructure improvements.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues on cyber security-related questions.
• Support Hotline and Monitoring Center teams with remote support inquiries.
• Work with various infrastructure technologies such as servers, virtualization, and networking equipment.
• Travel up to 20 days per year for customer visits and office engagements.

Skills

• Practical experience with IT infrastructure and remote access solutions.
• Familiarity with firewalls, switches, routers, and encryption.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Education

• Relevant education or certifications in IT or related fields are preferred.

Tools

• Experience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Hyper-V, and backup/storage solutions.
