Job summary

An experienced IT Operations Team Leader is sought to manage a team of IT infrastructure professionals, ensuring the delivery of reliable and secure IT services. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications, while driving continuous improvement and strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading IT infrastructure or operations teams
• Strong technical knowledge of server, network, storage, and virtualization technologies
• Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks, such as ITIL
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience in delivering infrastructure projects and managing stakeholders
• Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing IT infrastructure team
• Manage workload allocation, priorities, and team performance for service excellence
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members
• Oversee daily operations of infrastructure services
• Ensure availability, security, and performance of IT systems
• Develop and implement infrastructure standards and best practices
• Monitor systems proactively to minimize service disruptions
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning to implementation
• Manage project budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations
• Coordinate incident response and lead during critical outages
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring incidents
• Support capacity planning for future business demands
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for service quality and efficiency

Education

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

Tools

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS is desirable
• Industry certifications including Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or equivalent are a plus
