IT Operations Specialist (Remote)

Job summary

An experienced IT Operations Specialist is sought to provide IT support and ensure the security of a fully remote organization. This role involves assisting team members with IT-related tasks and managing IT assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in an IT support or helpdesk position.
• Proficient in Linux, MacOS, and Windows system administration.
• Experience with automation workflows and managing enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in Mountain or Pacific time zones and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for IT helpdesk requests.
• Diagnose and provide IT support for staff.
• Collaborate with HR and Security teams for onboarding and offboarding.
• Set up and deploy laptops, devices, and software.
• Manage mobile device management systems and maintain IT asset inventory.
• Provide training on IT-related topics and assist with change management.

Skills

• Good scripting skills with a focus on automation.
• Experience in cloud-centric environments and cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with traditional on-prem LAN/WAN environments.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with IT asset management and endpoint security tools.
