Investigator Consultant (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves supporting preliminary assessments and investigations into allegations of employee misconduct as an independent consultant. The Investigator Consultant will conduct complex investigations with a focus on impartiality, confidentiality, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in law, criminal justice, political science, police studies, auditing, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent advanced-level qualification.
• Alternatively, a first-level university degree in a relevant field with formal investigation qualifications or certifications and additional qualifying professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in investigations or law enforcement, including at least 3 years at the international level.
• Proven experience in planning and executing high-priority investigations, preferably within international organizations.
• Strong capabilities in investigation planning, evidence collection, interviewing, forensic analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced-level English proficiency; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct independent investigations into allegations of policy violations.
• Ensure investigations are thorough, timely, and conducted with integrity.
• Develop investigation strategies and collect relevant evidence.
• Conduct interviews and maintain accurate records of testimony.
• Prepare comprehensive investigative reports and present findings.
• Assess allegations and recommend further inquiries or improvements to internal controls.
