Job summary

The Inside Sales Manager serves as the primary contact for customers regarding proposals and order execution, overseeing all activities within their designated area. This role is crucial for ensuring timely case handling, stakeholder engagement, and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the proposal handling and order execution process from inquiry to order acknowledgment, including kickoff meetings and comprehensive case management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on orders, deliveries, claims, and payments, ensuring customers are kept informed.
  • Manage contracts and commercial terms, ensuring compliance with established conditions.
  • Update and maintain customer guidelines relevant to the assigned area.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding inquiries, proposal updates, pricing negotiations, and service documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like Supply Chain and Engineering to meet delivery commitments.
  • Ensure customer purchase orders are consistent with approved proposals and commercial terms.
  • Book purchase orders promptly in accordance with customer deadlines and internal protocols.
  • Provide customers with accurate updates on order status and delivery schedules.
  • Assist Outside Sales with sales history, pricing insights, and CRM reporting.
  • Maintain high data quality standards in CRM and case management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Export Control regulations and manage customer claims efficiently.
  • Follow up on overdue payments in collaboration with finance teams to ensure compliance with payment terms.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Experience: 5–8 years in inside sales, customer service, order management, or commercial operations, preferably in B2B industrial sectors. Familiarity with CRM systems and order-to-cash processes is essential.
  • Skills: Advanced communication skills, strong customer relationship management, commercial acumen, problem-solving abilities, effective time management, and proficiency in CRM/BI tools. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle conflict resolution is important.
