Head of Operations (eCommerce, Remote)

Job summary

This role is a leadership position focused on operations within a rapidly growing direct-to-consumer eCommerce brand. The Head of Operations will be responsible for developing and managing the operational infrastructure that supports supply chain, inventory, fulfillment, and team execution. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on builder capable of transforming operational complexities into clear processes and measurable performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in a physical-product, eCommerce, or direct-to-consumer setting.
• Proven track record in high-growth environments, ideally with brands generating $20M–$50M in annual revenue.
• Experience across various operational functions including supply chain, inventory management, and customer support.
• Demonstrated ability to build departments and operational systems from the ground up.
• Strong understanding of physical-product operations and relationships with 3PL providers.
• Experience in hiring, onboarding, and managing team members effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end back-end operations, including supply chain and fulfillment processes.
• Develop scalable operating systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain an operational knowledge base and improve processes as the business evolves.
• Create reliable reporting systems for operational metrics and performance.
• Build and lead a team of 4–6 functional leaders to independently manage their areas.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues proactively.

Skills

• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in tools such as Shopify, Notion, and modern AI productivity platforms.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on accountability.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in operations management or a related field preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with operational software and tools, including spreadsheets and project management platforms.
