Head of Legal (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Head of Legal will lead the legal strategy and execution within the Finance & Operations department, focusing on building a scalable legal framework to support growth in European markets. This role involves being the primary legal partner to Sales, Finance, and Security teams, ensuring robust corporate governance while enabling business velocity.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant legal experience in a fast-growing SaaS environment.
• Expertise in commercial SaaS contracting, including DPAs and security addendums.
• Understanding of data privacy and corporate law, with experience in corporate governance and compliance.
• Pragmatic, business-oriented mindset balancing risk and reward.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial SaaS contracting, including handling T&Cs, MSAs, and negotiating deviations.
• Support and eventually take over the internal compliance framework.
• Manage corporate legal matters, including entity management and governance.
• Oversee vendor and supplier contracting, focusing on key terms related to liability and security.
• Develop a scalable legal operating model with clear templates and internal guidance.

Skills

• Strong negotiation skills and experience in legal documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education

• Juris Doctor or equivalent legal qualification preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with legal management software and compliance tools is advantageous.
