Job summary

The Head of KYC Operations is tasked with enhancing and stabilizing the KYC operations, ensuring efficient team performance while meeting regulatory and commercial requirements. This role is pivotal in improving operational performance, reducing backlog, and establishing a sustainable KYC operating model.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading operations or business-critical teams.
• Strong execution skills with the ability to drive progress through team members.
• Experience with complex KYC cases in sectors such as fintech, payments, banking, or crypto, especially for corporate clients.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and practical application of CDD/ODD/EDD/EDR.
• Ability to maintain structure and clarity in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and stabilize the KYC function, providing day-to-day leadership and creating clarity in operations.
• Drive operational execution by establishing priorities, removing backlogs, and monitoring team workload.
• Strengthen processes and governance by reviewing workflows and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
• Support risk management and regulatory readiness, ensuring operations are controlled and risks are escalated appropriately.
• Build a sustainable team and operating model by assessing team structure and identifying development opportunities.
