Head of Energy Category Management

Job summary

This role is responsible for leading the electricity and renewable energy supply category strategy, focusing on achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2030 while managing electricity costs. The position requires a blend of commercial discipline, market insight, and stakeholder leadership to optimize energy sourcing across a global footprint.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of senior procurement/category management experience, particularly in electricity markets and renewable energy solutions.
• Expertise in European power market structures, regulations, and procurement mechanisms is advantageous.
• Proven track record in delivering cost savings and managing risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the commercial electricity strategy, guiding sourcing models, pricing, and renewable electricity options.
• Lead energy sourcing projects and negotiations, including RFPs, RFQs, and contracts for various energy solutions.
• Manage the data and insight agenda for the category, ensuring visibility of sourcing pipelines and financial performance.
• Establish and govern supplier relationship management with key suppliers, exploring new renewable energy technologies.
