Job summary

The Head of Corporate Strategic Planning will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of a leading company in the renewable energy sector. This role involves driving the development of corporate strategy, managing the annual strategic planning cycle, and ensuring effective execution of strategic initiatives. The position offers significant exposure to senior management and requires a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or in-house strategy roles within complex, global organizations, particularly in capital goods, energy, or utilities.
  • University degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading strategic planning processes and managing diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management and guiding complex discussions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of finance, collaborating closely with financial planning functions.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry dynamics from financial, competitive, operational, and regulatory perspectives.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the annual global strategic planning cycle, aligning strategy with financial planning and corporate priorities.
  • Provide independent strategic insights on performance improvement opportunities and transformational priorities.
  • Lead the development and evolution of corporate strategy to enhance competitiveness and support long-term growth.
  • Facilitate strategic alignment across regions and functions, ensuring coherent resource allocation.
  • Oversee agendas for Executive Strategy Offsites and the annual Board of Directors Strategy Seminar.
  • Drive strategy execution and performance follow-up, translating strategic priorities into measurable actions.

  • Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders and maintain clarity in complex environments.

Education

  • University degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or similar.

Tools

  • Familiarity with strategic planning tools and financial analysis software may be beneficial.
