Ground Fleet Manager (Aviation, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Ground Fleet Manager is responsible for developing, optimizing, and standardizing the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) fleet across Scandinavia, with a primary focus on Copenhagen. This role combines strategic planning with operational collaboration to ensure efficient and cost-effective ground operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation ground operations, fleet management, or similar operational environments.
• Strong understanding of equipment and asset operations in fast-paced settings.
• Proven experience managing multi-country operations and strategic negotiations.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Educational background in engineering, Aviation Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the GSE fleet strategy aligned with operational needs.
• Lead fleet planning, equipment acquisition, and retirement activities.
• Oversee GSE coordination across three main hubs: Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo.
• Ensure high equipment availability for daily operations.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor fleet performance and lifecycle costs through data analysis.
• Collaborate with operational teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and maintenance providers.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and sustainability initiatives.
