Job summary

The Global Regulatory Strategy Specialist is responsible for developing and executing a global regulatory strategy by providing regulatory intelligence and supporting advocacy initiatives. This role involves collaboration with various teams to manage regulatory opportunities and risks impacting the business portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience in regulatory affairs, product stewardship, regulatory strategy, government affairs, or environmental compliance.
  • Preferred experience with global chemical, specialty chemical, cleaning, water treatment, biocide, or industrial product portfolios.
  • Knowledge of global chemical regulations such as REACH, CLP/GHS, TSCA, CEPA, UK REACH, and K-REACH.
  • Familiarity with regulatory impact assessment and horizon-scanning practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging global regulatory developments affecting products and markets.
  • Develop regulatory trend analyses and strategic impact assessments for leadership.
  • Lead or contribute to regulatory outlook reports and intelligence publications.
  • Identify regulatory risks and opportunities, providing long-term business implications.
  • Maintain regulatory intelligence processes and knowledge-sharing mechanisms.
  • Represent the organization in trade associations and industry committees.
  • Manage relationships with external regulatory and industry organizations.
  • Partner with teams to provide regulatory support for innovation and new product development.
  • Support the development of global regulatory policies and governance frameworks.
  • Translate complex regulatory developments into actionable business guidance.
