Global Lead, Desktop Engineering

Job summary

This role is responsible for leading the global strategy and governance of End User Computing (EUC) services, ensuring compliance and operational excellence across all regions. The position involves overseeing engineering standards and driving enterprise-wide transformation in endpoint management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
• Master’s degree preferred for global leadership roles
• 15+ years of experience in End User Computing / Desktop Engineering
• 5+ years in leadership roles with global or regional responsibility
• Proven experience in regulated environments (GxP)

Responsibilities

• Define and own the global Desktop Engineering / EUC strategy
• Establish global standards for endpoint architecture and device lifecycle management
• Lead and develop a global Desktop Engineering organization
• Own global architecture for endpoint platforms (Windows, macOS)
• Ensure high availability and performance of global EUC services
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to implement endpoint protection
• Manage vendor strategy and partnerships for EUC platforms

Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and organizational design
• Expertise in endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, Jamf)
• Knowledge of ITIL-based service environments
• Strong leadership presence and communication skills
• Ability to operate in complex, high-pressure environments

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred

Tools

• Endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, Jamf, Tanium)
• ITSM tools and ITIL frameworks
• Automation and scripting tools (PowerShell)
