Global Business Development Manager (Insurance, Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing product performance and driving business growth in the areas of Ocean LCL, FCL Forwarding, and Cargo Risk Management solutions. The position requires a strategic and commercial mindset to bridge the gap between pipeline performance and business targets, collaborating with various teams to achieve measurable results.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in freight forwarding, particularly LCL, with FCL exposure preferred.
• Proven track record in sales, business development, or solution design.
• Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders in customer organizations.
• Experience managing complex, multi-country, and long-cycle opportunities.
• Strong understanding of cargo insurance and risk management products.
• Familiarity with end-to-end global supply chains.
• Highly collaborative, capable of working across a Global–Region–Area matrix.
• Strong commercial focus on growth, conversion, and customer value.
• Data-driven with excellent analytical skills.
• Fluent in English, with additional languages as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to engage strategic customers and design tailored solutions.
• Drive pipeline quality and growth delivery, ensuring alignment with global and regional targets.
• Support sales teams with insights and tools to enhance effectiveness.
• Deliver product training and communicate updates to various teams.
• Ensure smooth transition from opportunity to customer onboarding and execution.
• Act as the first escalation point for complex deals and coordinate with Product and Operations.

Education
