Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities focused on testing and improving AI systems through material engineering challenges. Contributors will design and solve engineering problems using Python, ensuring they are computationally intensive and relevant to real-world applications.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Material Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied work, research, or teaching.
  • Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+ level).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on experience and contribution level. Compensation varies by project based on scope and complexity.

  • Design original material engineering problems that reflect real engineering workflows.
  • Create problems that require Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive, utilizing numerical methods or iterative solutions.
  • Develop problems based on real research challenges or practical engineering applications.
  • Verify solutions using Python with standard engineering libraries.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
