Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing and validating computational mathematics problems that reflect real research workflows. Contributors will engage in tasks that require a blend of mathematical expertise and Python programming skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mathematics (Pure or Applied) or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or similar programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied mathematics, research, or teaching.
  • Experience with numerical methods and symbolic computation.
  • Ability to create complex problems that mimic real mathematical research scenarios.
  • Understanding of computational complexity theory.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour based on experience and contribution level, with variations depending on project scope and complexity.

  • Design original computational mathematics problems for AI evaluation.
  • Create Python-based solutions using libraries such as Numpy and SciPy.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and require significant reasoning.
  • Develop problems based on real-world mathematical applications.
  • Verify solutions and document problem statements clearly.
