Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities focused on testing and improving AI systems in the field of chemistry. Contributors will design computational chemistry problems and verify solutions using Python.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
• Experience with numerical methods in chemistry and familiarity with computational chemistry concepts.
• Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases, based on project needs.

Compensation

Earn up to $45 per hour, depending on expertise and contribution pace, with variations based on project scope and complexity.

• Design original computational chemistry problems simulating real research workflows.
• Create Python-based problems that require computational solutions.
• Ensure problems are complex enough to necessitate computational solutions over manual ones.
• Develop problems based on actual research challenges or practical applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements clearly.
