Job summary

This role involves contributing to project-based AI opportunities by designing and evaluating computational chemistry problems that simulate real research workflows. Contributors will work on tasks that require Python programming and ensure problems are computationally intensive.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other programming languages is acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
  • Experience with numerical methods in chemistry.
  • Understanding of computational chemistry concepts and methods.
  • Strong written English skills (C1+).

Responsibilities

Project time expectations

Tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, based on specific project requirements.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across different projects based on scope and complexity.

  • Design original computational chemistry problems based on real research challenges.
  • Create problems that require Python programming to solve, ensuring they are computationally intensive.
  • Develop problems that necessitate complex reasoning in physical chemistry, quantum chemistry, and molecular modeling.
  • Verify solutions using Python and document problem statements with verified answers.
