Job summary

The Fleet Superintendent is responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of advanced container vessels, ensuring safe and efficient operations aligned with organizational goals. This role involves direct management of Captains and Chief Engineers, fostering collaboration and engagement among crew members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Captains and Chief Engineers assigned to vessels.
  • Ensure safety is prioritized in all operations.
  • Manage operational matters, including planned and unplanned maintenance.
  • Coordinate inspections and dry docking of vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with vessel certification and surveys.
  • Monitor vessel performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage financial budgets for maintenance and repairs.
  • Suggest innovations and improvements within the area of responsibility.
  • Conduct technical inspections and provide operational feedback.
  • Contribute to decarbonization initiatives.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.

Education
