Financial Controller (Denmark)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring compliance with Group policies related to financial reporting, tax, treasury, company secretarial, and legal matters specifically for the Denmark region. The position requires a strong focus on financial control and reporting, as well as collaboration with various departments to maintain compliance and support business operations.

Qualifications

• Ideally a qualified accountant or strong background in finance.
• Proficient in IFRS and technical accounting.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of corporate governance and legal compliance.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial information.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly management accounts and compute statutory adjustments.
• Analyze management accounts for statutory/legal compliance.
• Assist in year-end audit processes and filing local statutory accounts.
• Maintain records of financial disclosures and compliance requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of entity office filings and documentation of meetings.
• Assist in due diligence for acquisitions and disposals.
• Liaise with business on tax projections and budgets.
• Manage local tax returns and compliance obligations.
• Represent the company in local legal matters and ensure contract compliance.
• Authorize payments and assist with treasury reporting.

Skills

Education

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience in finance.
