Finance Associate (Part-time, On-site, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This part-time Finance Associate role involves hands-on experience with financial operations in a rapidly growing company. The position is designed for students, offering 15–20 hours of work per week with flexibility around academic schedules. The role is based in Copenhagen and is not remote.

Qualifications

• Master's student with at least 1 year remaining, or Bachelor's student in final year with strong interest in finance and accounting.
• Some experience with accounting procedures or software through coursework, previous jobs, or personal projects.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Curiosity about finance and operational workings of scale-ups.
• Proficiency in English; familiarity with SaaS metrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day communication in the Finance Inbox.
• Oversee billing operations for international clients, including recurring software and hardware invoices.
• Handle Accounts Payable and assist with monthly closing processes.
• Track Accounts Receivable to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Assist with VAT reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with external bookkeeping partners and advisors.
• Contribute to building stronger financial controls and automations.
• Explore and implement AI tools to enhance finance workflows.

Skills

Education

• Relevant degree in finance or accounting, either ongoing or completed.

Tools

• Familiarity with tools such as Fenerum, e-conomic, Xero, QuickBooks, PLEO, and Google Suite is beneficial. Experience with AI tools like Claude and OpenAI is a plus.
