Field Application Engineer (Embedded Systems, Remote)

Job summary

The role of Field Application Engineer involves engaging with customers in pre- and post-sale activities, focusing on Adaptive SoC technology across various sectors including Industrial, Datacenter, Robotics, Healthcare, and Aerospace & Defense. The position requires up to 50% travel within the Nordic region.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical initiatives for key customers in collaboration with account managers.
• Build relationships with engineers and architects in assigned accounts, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Provide technical leadership for design win strategies and support customer opportunities.
• Address technical support issues and facilitate testing and debugging.
• Analyze customer needs and influence technology preferences towards company solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop technical proposals.
• Deliver on-site technical support and assist with real-time problem-solving.
• Lead technical solution creation to demonstrate value propositions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; Master's Degree preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience with FPGA-based architecture and design support.
• Proficient in designing with AMD SoCs and familiar with EDA tools like Vivado or Quartus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluent in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Skills

• Knowledge of industrial and datacenter markets is advantageous.
• Experience in technical sales and familiarity with embedded system design tools.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at various technical levels.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; Master's Degree preferred.

Tools

• EDA tools for FPGA and ASIC development, specifically Vivado and Quartus.
