Job summary

This position involves teaching or co-teaching a core course titled 'Muscles in Motion: Exercise Science' to undergraduate students from North American universities studying in Copenhagen. The course will run for the fall semester starting in August and includes academic tours.

Qualifications

  • Relevant educational background (e.g., cand.scient, humanbiolog, cand.med)
  • Practical experience in research, biotech, or pharma is preferred
  • Teaching experience is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in academic English
  • Willingness to engage with students academically and socially
  • Openness to pedagogical support
  • Ability to implement interactive teaching methods

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and facilitate teaching and experiential learning activities
  • Develop course content with academic staff support
  • Evaluate, grade, and provide feedback on student work
  • Conduct a total of 18 lectures (80 minutes each) and 2 field studies per semester
  • Lead students on two academic tours: a Short Study Tour in Stockholm and a Long Study Tour in the UK

Skills

  • Strong understanding of muscle physiology and neuromuscular function
  • Ability to design individualized exercise programs
  • Experience with case studies and movement analysis

Education

  • Relevant degree in exercise science or related field
