Job summary

The Engineering Team Leader is responsible for managing a small product team of engineers, focusing on team dynamics and individual growth while actively participating in product development. Qualifications

• Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 individuals.
• Extensive background in Backend development (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming).
• Strong commitment to promoting organizational values.
• Proven track record of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
• Familiarity with designing or adopting automation workflows and improving them iteratively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Understanding of team dynamics and a people-first approach.
• Demonstrated capabilities in automation and AI fluency.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 3-5 engineers, dedicating 30% of time to management tasks while participating in product development.
• Involved in hiring and onboarding processes for new team members.
• Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members.
• Redesign engineering workflows to incorporate autonomous agents for optimized execution.
• Develop and operationalize agentic workflows to enhance delivery speed and quality.
• Ensure results are verified for correctness, security, reliability, and scalability.
